AC Schnitzer brings an update on their BMW 4 Series project a few weeks after the initial videos. Not only that, the luxury coupe from Munich gets plenty of aftermarket upgrades. It also had a surprising increase in power output. The German shop tuned two models, specifically the 430i and M440i. A supposed performance upgrade for the BMW 440d might follow in the future also.
The AC Schnitzer performance upgrades for the 430i now make a standard power of 220 kW/300 HP/470 Nm. From its previous usual power which, is 190 kW/258. On the other hand, the M440i xDrive also gets a power boost of 309 kW/420 HP/600 Nm. The M440i xDrive’s standard power is75 kW/374 HP/500 Nm.
The AC Schnitzer exhaust made of stainless steel further enhanced the six-cylinder timbre. It comes with two “Carbon Sport” or “Sport” tail trims, chrome or black in a right or a left combination. It also includes an AC Schnitzer sports suspension that lowers the car up to 15 – 25 mm. With this, it translates your BMW 4 Series with better sportiness and agility. The pure suspension spring set is capable of lowering the suspension by up to 30 millimetres.
One of AC Schnitzer’s goals is to improve the downforce. The Aachen-based company supplies components for the production vehicle. It includes front spoiler elements, a front splitter, side skirts, a rear roof spoiler, and a carbon rear spoiler. With this, it provides more downforce at the front and rear axle. Moreover, the AC Schnitzer rear skirt protection foils and emblems for both left and right are also available.
AC Schnitzer has various options in its range for wheelsets. The AC1 alloy wheels in BiColor Silver/Anthracite or Anthracite (front: 8.5J x 20″ with 235/35 R 20 tires; rear: 10.0J x 20″ with 265/30 R 20 tires) and AC1 alloy wheels in BiColor Silver/Anthracite or Anthracite (front: 8.5J x 19″ with 225/40 R 19 tires; rear: 8.5J x 19″ with 255/35 R 19 tires) are available. If you want it plain, then rims can also be painted in gloss black.
