BMW is set to release another model just after the unveiling of the new G30 5 Series nearly a few weeks ago. A BMW 5 Series Long Wheelbase is in view in the next few months but this will only be exclusively sold to the Chinese market. The world premiere will be at the Beijing Auto Show in April 2017. This car will be produced via the Brilliance-BMW joint venture.
A lineup of four- and six cylinder engines, plus a possible hybrid, may be released. The eight-cylinder and the M models will only be available as imports.
The wheelbase of the 5 Series Li is expected to be at least ten centimeters longer. Thus, it will be more spacious, especially at the back. The car will also be furnished with premium materials, a lot of highly advanced technologies, and safety systems.
The 5Li will go against the Mercedes E-Class L, the Audi A6L, the upcoming Volvo S90L, and the Jaguar XFL in its segment.
