BMW 5 Series Touring and Mercedes-Benz E Class Close Up

In early 2017, a new version of BMW 5 Series Touring will replace the existing one – F10 5 Series.  The current 5er has become outdated and run over by similar models from the competition – Mercedes-Benez E Class, Cadillac CTS, Jaguar XF, they all have better looks and performance than the old 5er.

5 Series Touring

The things got worse when Mercedes-Benz released the E Class Estate model as a direct competitor to the BMW 5 Series Touring.

Both cars look amazing, plus for some reason wagons tend to be more attractive than sedans. But which one is actually better?

There’s something a bit boring about the E Class Estate. It doesn’t look creative enough; perhaps the AMG version would be better. As for the exterior looks, our vote goes to the 5er.

5 Series Touring

The interior of both cars is great. The Mercedes-Benz wins this round because the elements look newer and better designed than the 5 Series’. Because the Estate is newer, it makes sense that it beats the 5er on the technology field, too.

As the E Class is already a tough competitor for the 5er and it’s gotten even tougher with the Estate variant, BMW shouldn’t wait any longer to release the new 5 Series and 5 Series Touring. True fans will wait, but not forever.
