Initially, reports of a Paris unveiling in September were circulating. However, that event will hold the world premiere of the BMW X2 instead. That’s two different mass production vehicles in the next two large auto shows.

Right now, the new G30 5 Series is in its final testing stages. It is larger yet 100 kilograms lighter than the predecessor. Thanks to the use of carbon in the body structure, plus the new Cluster Architecture (CLAR) platform. This platform is a combination of high-strength steel, aluminum and carbon fiber. The platform is highly flexible and versatile. It benefits BMW since its extensively adjustable in content, size and adaptability.

The G30 5 Series’ design is accentuated with modern touches. Taking from the premium 7 Series luxury sedan, this model will also have the latest and greatest technologies available for the driver. The 5 Series customers will enjoy the new iDrive infotainment system, gesture control, laser headlights, autonomous driving, and many more.
