The 2020 BMW 5 Series Exclusive for the Chinese Market

From September 26 to October 5, 2020, the Auto China 2020 in Beijing will commence. One of the highlights will be the debut of the new BMW 5 Series for the Chinese market. This unbeaten business sedan showed itself to the world in July 2020. But as for the Chinese market, it will showcase some specific and exclusive details to meet some distinguished requirements. BMW adds the Fond-Entertainment Professional with two tilt-adjustable touch screens to the longer wheelbase. Also, the panoramic sky lounge glass roof is another sight to the range of sedans. Meanwhile, the new BMW 5 Series exclusively for China shows a new representation for its latest generation. The Chinese car enthusiasts will witness a more unique exterior design, increased engine efficiency, and many improved and refreshed interior details.

Revolutionary Technology Innovation for the Younger Chinese Target Market

In China, the BMW 5 Series is the most approved business sedan. In 2019, for instance, BMW sold approximately 174,000 units. This year, the new model generation becomes more attractive because of some distinct revamped exterior details. This includes its sleeker kidney grille, dynamic yet elegant lines, and the newly crafted taillights and headlights. In addition to these are the extensive options for individualization. A good example would be the BMW 535Le that will be available, among other things with the M Sport Package. This specific model will receive a 215 Kw/292 bhp plug-in-hybrid drive system, designed exclusively for the Chinese market. This specification also displays a combined fuel consumption of 1.5l/100 km, combined power consumption of 15 kWh/100km, and a combined CO2 fuel-generated emissions of 36 g/km.

With regard to functionality and connectivity, the new BMW 5 Series comes fully-equipped. BMW will integrate the Intelligent Personal Assist, added with new graphic displays and improved voice control. Of course, the BMW Operating System 7 also comes standard. It continues to provide a generous amount of networking and operating options, as well as revolutionary technical innovations.

Comfort Features as a Priority for the Chinese Customers

The new BMW 5 Series highlights a wheelbase that has been increased by 130 to 3.105 millimetres. BMW prioritized the extension of space as to how Chinese customers highly value both comfort and visual appearance. With more legroom for the rear-seat passengers, the interior gains more space compared to the normal wheelbase versions. For the comfort aspect, the BMW provided a full-on set of options for the Chinese market. This includes the rear-seat entertainment Professional with tilt-adjustable touch screens. Completing the list are the ambient lighting with eleven light designs, and the Sky Lounge panoramic glass sunroof. Another exclusive option for the Chinese customers is the comfort rear seat with comfortable headrests and ergonomic upholstery.
