The BMW i7 Leading the Way towards an electric future

Under the i7 nomenclature, the first-ever fully-electric 7 Series comes for its debut. Yes, we are already seeing the new era to be electric. Some two decades ago, we could have possibly thought that the entrance of several revolutionary cars would not happen. And yet, the new BMW i7 is coming which has already been confirmed by the BMW itself.

As a result of this new confirmation, prototypes of the new BMW i7 comes running and tested around the world. One of these includes the prototype seen driven around Munchen. Apparently, the upcoming flagship limousine still aims to hide itself. Thus, the BMW is very careful not to provide us all the details about the new 7 Series, except for some of its features.

One of the most displayed and controversial feature is the front-end. Between the headlamps, the front end carries a massive-looking grille. The question lies with how the BMW designers will approach the new 7 Series and i7’s front end. Some asks whether another controversy would arise just as how it came out with its LCI GO1 7 Series.

Although there’s nothing sure about this yet, the i7 is assumed to receive a distinct set of grilles up front. The car’s aerodynamics will improve with the given design. According to some sources, the technical specifications of the BMW i7 will be powerful. In a general sense, the V8 and V12 power engines will be unavailable. For the new range, it can either be straight-six engines including mild hybrid and both petrol and diesel. The plug-in hybrid versions will come with one or two electric motors equal with fully electric models or the ICE unit.

With a few distinct power trains, the new BMW i7 will debut as a fully electric vehicle. Varying from approximately 500 horsepower to about 700, its power levels can also reach 600 kilometres for 120 kWh battery packs. The battery packs are still part of the rumors, though. But the very truth to be expected is the coming of the new 7 Series in 2022.
