BMW Blog reports that BMW may be preparing a limited edition F10 M5 and this will actually be released before this year ends. This, they say, came from a reliable source. BMW F10 M5 Special Edition To Launch in 2016?

If this special edition does get the green light, BMW will be releasing around 100 units and some special colors to delight enthusiasts. The limited edition M5 is also likely to sport a series of CFRP (carbon fiber reinforced plastics) components. It will have a more aggressive and dynamic look.

No official details have been revealed about the power output, but the same sources hinted that the power may be the same as the 30 Jahre Edition M5. Though it is highly likely that the power output will be raised to 600 horsepower and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft). The standard sprint to 62 mph will then be around 3.9 seconds.

Pricing or worldwide availability has not been announced yet. Stay tuned for more information in the coming weeks!
