It’s quite amazing at how the car is controlled. All functions can be controlled simply by using touch-sensitive surfaces. The driver simply needs to make gestures. It is the ultimate connected car of the future because everything is integrated into the driver’s digital environment. Even though it has lots of technology, it is not distracting to the driver and is actually designed for convenience and intuitive use.

This is also the interior of the future. It has a high-resolution Head-Up Display that shows important information on the windscreen. A separate instrument cluster displays other information in 3D. The large panorama display of 21-inches can be operated by using gestures that are detected by sensors so there is no need to actually touch the display. The center console also has touch-sensitive surfaces, like a smartphone, to use for menu navigation.

Taking it a step further that may have caused the Auto Test Sieger 2016 special award is the integration with smart phones or other digital devices, thanks to BMW Connected.
