Is this really a BMW M2 CS spotted wearing camouflage? It is a bit too early for an M2 refresh but here we are, seeing a camouflaged prototype with fake air intake slates. These particular feature gives it away because they are clearly put there to disguise whatever actually lies underneath. And if it was just an update, why would BMW need to completely cover the front air intakes?
There may be a significantly upgraded front apron underneath that will result to better aerodynamics and maybe even increased air flow — such as the extra circular air intake on the E46 M3 CSL. The tail lights are also hidden by camo and it may indicate OLED.
If this is the upcoming BMW M2 CS, then it’s likely that the engine will be a variant of the S55 engine in the BMW M3/M4 and over 400 hp. Being that the current BMW M2, with its 365 hp N55 engine, is already almost as fast as the M3/M4, the M2 CS could be quite a bit faster.
