[Video] The BMW M2 Competition on a Track Battle

Another thrilling track battle has been spotted between the BMW M2 Competition and the Toyota Supra GR. Accordingly, the consistent just comparison between these two started on the debut of the Supra. The M2 Competition has always been favored to compete with it compared to the Z4. Accordingly, the former is also capable because it engages a 3-liter straight-six and is also a Coupe.

If you look more closely, there are more resemblances between the two. For instance, both has its rear axle receiving all the power to be generated. While the M2 is also offered in manual system, both are also automatic. The stated power output, though, is the identified difference between them. Making about 410 horsepower and 550 Nm of torque, BMW said that it is the capacity of the M2 Competition’s S55 engine. Regardless of how you would try to check it, this small car really owns those good numbers.

To steer clear from the M2, the Supra takes advantage of its B58 engine. The engine, as stated by both Toyota and BMW, is meant to put up 340 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque. However, validating those numbers has not been possible with any detached dyno run.

If you’re thinking that it displayed lower power discharges, it was the other way around. The track results of the Supra were found by some to have pushed near 400 horsepower.

On the Hockenheim-GP circuit, the video shows a track battle between these two extraordinary cars. The location was, accordingly, a more high-tech and shorter variant of the well-known German track. Driven by Uwe Sener of Sport Auto, the two vehicles were set up with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. This allowed to make things fair and allow you to see such interesting results.
