[Video] 2023 BMW M340i xDrive Shows off in Tanzanite Blue Bodywork

There’s no wrong choice when it comes to the body style of the 2023 BMW 3 Series LCI, whether you choose the sedan or wagon. More examples of the updated model are being stocked up on car lots as salespeople get familiar with it. In this video, Jardine Motors Group continues introducing the Touring, which debuted towards the end of July. The sedan is this time’s target vehicle.

A 320d M Sport station wagon and an M340i xDrive sedan both featured six-cylinder engines tuned for performance. Tanzanite Blue is the exterior colour, and the interior is black with the M logo and colours on the seatbelts. In an interesting twist, the dealer sold the vehicle on the same day it arrived at the lot without any difficulty.

Despite having the M Performance trim, the vehicle has strangely been left without the classic BMW Motorsport logos. These vintage emblems will be sold on all M Sport Package and basic model M cars in 2022 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the M division. This M340i has the optional adaptive lighting, signified by the blue highlights in the revised headlights.

The exterior has also seen minor adjustments to the rear apron and a new bumper up front. BMW’s M Performance 3 Series now comes with the option of a carbon fibre roof—a feature previously reserved for the sedan. M Lite cars produced after 2023 will feature side mirrors styled after those on the real M3.

All 3er LCI models have an OS 8 computer, a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, and a 14.9-inch touchscreen. BMW removed the climate controls from the streamlined centre console, and replaced the original transmission lever with a gear selector. Despite improvements, the G20 is anticipated to remain in production until 2027.
