We’ll follow Joe Achilles’ videos on the BMW M3 Touring as he was one of the first YouTubers to receive one. Particularly given that Americans cannot purchase the M3 Touring. Also, they must instead live vicariously through buyers from Europe and the United Kingdom, like Achilles. In this new video, he modifies the M3 Touring slightly since he couldn’t leave it stock like most of his vehicles.
Luckily for Achilles, he didn’t have to travel far to find the necessary components. The M3 Touring is practically an M3 Competition sedan from the B-pillar forward. Thus he could have all of his aftermarket components from the M3 Competition he had traded in installed in his new M3 Touring. The car was only ten days old when the pieces were installed. As a result, he hardly drove it before making some small improvements.
A new carbon fibre front splitter, Eibach lowering springs for the front axle, wheel spacers, and even a detail were among the components he effectively transferred from the sedan to the Touring. Although each of those modifications is straightforward, the way the car looks and feels should be significantly improved. The front end will look much better and be stiffer and more acute.
But since his M3 Competition was quite altered, he still has more to do. He had upgraded the shock tower braces, anti-roll bars, and new exhaust. This includes Eventuri intake and even the steering wheel wrapped in thinner Alcantara. His vehicle also had all of the aforementioned modifications. This last point is crucial since, in addition to feeling considerably better in hand, it also feels more communicative and engaging because its narrower diameter allows more road and steering sensation to pass through the rim.
Achilles’ M3 Touring looked much nicer after the initial modifications were finished. When you compare the stock car to his car, its front ride height looks SUV-like and the front end seems missing something. Those minor adjustments significantly alter the appearance of the car. And it will only improve as he continues to enhance it. The ADRO front bumper and grille perfectly restore the car’s front-end design, but that’s just me. I’d want to see him also give it that.
