Chris Harris, a famed car journalist, sold his BMW M5 CS today. He owned it for just over a year. Notably, the winning bid was £110,500.
Chris Harris, renowned for “Top Gear” and insightful car reviews, loves speedy cars. He added the BMW M5 CS to his collection in 2022, also owning an M2 CS. In 2023, he chose the Frozen Deep Green Metallic hue for his M5 CS.
Earlier this year, Harris praised his M5 CS on Instagram. “After 15 months, it remains the best road car I’ve driven,” he captioned a car photo. Considering his vast experience, this underscores the M5 CS’s superb engineering. We’ve also favoured the M5 CS for a long time.
Chris Harris’ BMW M5 CS has clocked just over 11,000 miles. Before handing it over, Harris ensures it’s in top shape. It’ll get a new detail, and the front-end paint protection film (PPF) is being replaced.
BMW tweaked the M5 Competition’s 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 to yield 627 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque. Paired with an eight-speed auto transmission, the xDrive technology powers all wheels. Testers clocked the M5 CS’s 0-60 mph in under 3 seconds.
What’s next for Harris? He seems drawn to the new G87 BMW M2, seen with a Black Sapphire model. He might also consider the 2025 BMW M2 CS.
