[VIDEO] BMW M5 CS Won Against the Porsche Taycan Turbo

There’s just one way to know if a BMW M5 CS can keep up with or perhaps defeat a Porsche Taycan Turbo in a drag race. When it comes to drag racing, especially against traditional combustion cars, electric cars are known to have the upper hand. But putting a Renault Zoe against a Lamborghini is another story. In other words, it only applies in comparing cars powered by similar engines.

Have a look at the competition before you get to the bottom of the page to see how things went down. According to the video, the Turbo is the less powerful brother and not the top dog Porsche Taycan Turbo S. Its limited output has 680 horsepower and 850 Nm (627 lb-ft) of torque. In addition, it still has an all-wheel drive and a dual-motor setup. Like other electric cars, you can point out that the numbers are available from zero rpm.

Moreover, the 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 of the BMW M5 CS produces 635 horsepower and 750 Nm (553 lb-ft) of torque. Hence, it appears that Porsche is in favour based on the numbers so far. However, with a combined weight of 2.3 tons, this Porsche is strangely much heavier than the BMW. Another additional luggage to drag along since roughly 400 kilograms between the Porsche and BMW.

As a result, it appears that the BMW M5 CS can catch up to the Porsche Taycan Turbo and even beat it. Even with the BMW’s delayed start, tight before the end of the race, the BMW machine managed to overtake the Porsche Taycan Turbo, as you’ll see in the video. With a big grin on the driver’s face, it happened that the BMW M5 CS won the race. Given how fast these electric Porsches are, who wouldn’t be pleased with this achievement.
