The 2021 BMW X3 M has a good sound to it already. But Dinan makes it sound even better when they’ve decided to upgrade the BMW X3 M’s exhaust system. In this BMW X3 M upgrade, Dinan has partially installed it with an axle-back setup that includes the rear muffler and the set of Dinan tips. Thus, this exhaust is still road legal with no possible complications for the driver. 

In order to enhance the BMW X3 M’s sound, Dinan puts a stainless steel exhaust system. Incorporating a larger 2.9-inch tubing that is larger than its current 2.7-inch tubing. When the valves are open, this increases the ventilation through the whole system and the outside pipes. When they are closed all the gases push through the muffler to exit the inner tips for sound reduction. The axle-back exhaust system raises the power by up to 8 hp at 6,600 rpm and a torque of up to 6 lb-ft at 6,600 rpm. This evens the standard X3 with 481 hp and 448 lb-ft of torque. 

The tips use a modern design with an inverted clamp collar that allows larger tips to be mounted as per Dinan. With a 4.5-inch diameter, the brand new quad exhaust tips are slightly wider, which are also available to a black ceramic finish. Overall, the 2021 BMW X3 M exhaust does sound even better with the Dinan’s axle-back exhaust system.
