BMW’s M division has been around for 50 years, and the company has been releasing exciting new models in recent years. These include the M3 Touring and M4 CSL, and soon we may expect to see the M2 and 3.0 CSL. Many “50 Jahre” limited models have also been released, like the brand new XM, the brand’s first true M car since the M1. Artists have the freedom to design the external appearance of the car.
Pauser, a graffiti artist, worked with a BMW dealer to create a mural celebrating the M division’s history. He painted the X6 M in bright colours for the #SAFE2022 street celebration, which has been planned annually since 2007. Olomouci, a city in the Czech Republic, played host this year between September 10 and 20. The sports coupe-SUV with the eye-catching spray paint job will drive around town until October.
Although technically not an “Art Car,” BMW’s official vehicles are known for their vibrant paint jobs. Adding these features makes the X6 M an even more impressive sight on the streets of Olomouc. Life Cycle Impulses are coming to all X6 models, as you may have heard. BMW is rumoured to begin manufacturing the LCI in April of 2019, with an official debut expected sometime between the end of this year and the beginning of 2023. Only Competition trims equipped with the new S68 engine will be available for the purchase of the X6 M. It’s highly improbable that the output of this mild-hybrid 4.4-liter V8 with twin turbocharging would increase.
According to spy photos, the next-generation X6 will not have split headlights like the X7 LCI and the new XM. To keep up with the new 7 Series G70, though, it will take on that car’s iDrive 8 and hopefully get a few more engine updates.
