If you’re a car enthusiast who loves the idea of owning a high-performance crossover, the 2024 BMW X6 M Competition could be the perfect vehicle for you. Personally, I’ve never been a fan of the X6’s practicality, which is why I find the latest BMW X6 M Competition so interesting. What’s even more intriguing is the newly released Frozen Pure Grey color option for the X6 M.
It’s no surprise that BMW has incorporated the S68 engine in the upcoming BMW M5. This is evident with its exceptional acceleration and power. However, the real standout feature is the all-new twin-turbo V8 engine, which boasts an impressive 617 horsepower and is a remarkable development from BMW M.
The M version of the X6 has thinner headlights and LED daytime running lights. It also has signal indicators as an arrow pointing outwards, just like the ordinary version and M Performance. These Extended Shadowline lights are about an inch and a half narrower than before, making them darker. Though completely new, the grille has horizontal slats and a more shark-nosed appearance. The M Sport Package Pro includes large, newly designed air intakes and a new design.
When examining the back of the car, you’ll notice that the designers relocated the vertical reflectors downward in the apron. The vehicle also features a sturdy diffuser with four-inch-diameter quad exhaust tips, typically in black chrome plating. To coincide with the Life Cycle Impulse, BMW has introduced three new metallic paint colours for the 2024 X6 M: Frozen Pure Grey, Isle of Man Green, and Brooklyn Grey. Customers can select from about 50 different Individual colours for an additional cost.
BMW has decided to condense their portfolio for the 2024 lineup. They only aim to sell the high-performance SUV as a Competition model moving ahead. The recently designed engine that uses mild-hybrid technology still produces 617 horsepower. 553 pound-feet (750 Newton-meters) of torque is also present in the 2024 BMW X6 M Facelift. In its most recent configuration, the powerful 4.4-litre V8 produces its maximum horsepower at 6,000 rpm. And its maximum torque is between 1,800 and 5,800 rpm.
With a starting price of $127,200 (+$995 shipping and handling), the 2024 BMW X6 M Competition is $4,200 more expensive than the current model with the Competition Package.
