Plant Dingolfing Rolls Out Power-Packed BMW M5 Touring

BMW is bringing a new level of performance and versatility to its lineup with the latest M5 Touring model, now rolling off the production line at BMW Group’s Plant Dingolfing. Following the recent release of the BMW M5 Sedan, this new model combines intense driving dynamics with ample space, making it an ideal choice for daily and long-distance travel.

The M5 Touring stands out with its powerful M HYBRID drive train, featuring a high-revving V8 engine paired with an electric motor. This pairing delivers an impressive 727 horsepower and a remarkable 1,000 Nm of torque, creating an exhilarating and efficient driving experience. The hybrid system is designed to offer responsive power and exceptional handling and maintains the BMW M5’s iconic performance while adding an eco-friendly touch.

According to Christoph Schröder, the Plant Director, the expanded lineup allows customers worldwide to explore various driving technologies and styles within the same core series.

The launch of the M5 Touring also highlights Dingolfing’s role as a key production hub for BMW’s high-performance M series. The factory already produces models like the M4 Coupé, M8 Coupé, and the M5 Sedan, with M variants now representing about six percent of its overall output. The new addition solidifies the plant’s commitment to delivering cutting-edge, high-performance vehicles for enthusiasts worldwide.
