The BMW M240i promises a top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph) but that can only be tested in an unrestricted Autobahn. Here, there are no limits and the car can fly as free as a bird. Here’s a view of how crazy fast this hot BMW car is when it is able to reach maximum velocity:
The BMW M240i lives up to the expectation for M Performance cars. Both the M140i and M240i models are powered by the same B58 3-liter straight six engine fitted with one turbocharger, delivering 340 HP and 500 Nm (369 lb-ft) of torque. The torque figure is surprisingly reached from as low as 1,500 RPM. That means there’s not even a little bit of lag!
The M240i drives very smoothly in high speeds and has no issues reaching its full potential. It accelerates to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.6 seconds while reaching top speed. There’s no breaking traction that can be felt by the driver. In the video above, it is also obvious that the car can go a lot faster than 250 km/h (155 mph) if there was no electronic limiter. Talk about a beast waiting to be unleashed!
