The new BMW M140i will be replacing the very much loved M135i, and Auto Express crew wanted to test it and see what they think.
The BMW 1 Series hatch has been very popular due to its great combination of driving dynamics and everyday practicality, with great looks as a bonus. It will be slightly different with the new updates, under the name M140i. The car will use an UKL platform and have a front-wheel drive
One of the biggest changes will be the engine. The new M140 will feature the new B58 3.0-liter turbocharged I engine, good for 340 HP, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds (the automatic 8-speed version).
Other things will pretty much stay the same. It’s not a bad thing this time, as the previous 1 Series model was so great. Good thing BMW decided not to fix what’s not broken.
We will still have the same handling, the feature which makes this car one of the most fun to drive.
