It is known by now that BMW is preparing at least one special edition of their beloved M2 Coupe. Though not many details are known at this point, one thing has finally been confirmed – the name of the upcoming model will be the M2 Competition.
BMW’s planned schedule includes unveiling the M2 Competition in late 2018 and a market launch is set for early 2019.
The car will feature the 3.0-liter S55 petrol engine (from the M3/M4) with a max power of 405 horses. As for the transmission, it will use a 7-speed M-DCT or a six-speed manual.
