A BMW M2 CS prototype was seen again in Nurburgring test run. We don’t see much difference form the standard M2 at the moment and any external design changes is being well kept by BMW for now. However, that doesn’t prevent us from being excited about this car. From the outside, we can only see those vertical vents in the lower front fascia that we’ve been seeing on M2 CS test mules so we’re sure this is the M2. The lowered stance is also noticeable. In this video, it also gets its tail out quite easily, so it should still be a hooligan and not a track-focused monster.
The BMW M2 CS is powered by a variant of the BMW M4’s S55 engine. It ditches the standard M2’s N55 engine for a 3.0 liter I6 that is twin-turbocharged and has a lot more power. This new BMW M2 CS could be capable of reaching 0-60 in under 4 seconds, which is properly quick. We are also expecting it to be super quick through corners because of its lightweight, compact size and nimble chassis. It comes close to the performance of the BMW M4, but in a smaller package. Now that’s a force to be reckoned with.
