Recent reports have confirmed that BMW will be developing an M2 Gran Coupe. We also know that the target release date is by 2019. Many BMW fans are thrilled at this news. For some, this may be long overdue since the standard model was launched years ago. The first ever Gran Coupe by BMW is the stunning 6 Series and we all know that it is a candidate for being the best looking BMW on the road. Getting the same treatment for the M2 is very promising. Here is a rendering of what it may look like at launch time, by Top Speed:
Aside from the 2019 launch date, information is still very scarce. This rendering just gives a guess of what it may look like, based on the standard M2 and the treatment that BMW has given both the 6 Series and 4 Series Gran Coupes.
The digital image was created with the BMW M2 as a base and they extended its current roofline and body lines to accommodate four doors. That should be a pretty accurate version of the look of this car. However, there is also a possibility of the roofline being a bit sleeker and closer to the one seen in the 4 Series Gran coupe.
The BMW M2 already looks great with its short, stubby body with its massive wheel arches and fender flares give it a bulldog-like stance. It is nothing short of being cool. Once the BMW M2 Gran Coupe version comes out, it can only look even better. With the performance that comes with it, this will give its competitors a run for their money.
Thanks for the rendering, Top Speed!
