Here’s another fine example of tuned BMW M2, a car that quickly become the favorite of numerous tuning companies around the world. We witness the growth of the tuning market for this model and it doesn’t look like it’s going to stop anytime soon.
More and more companies are offering custom parts for “baby-M” and as the competition rises the offer just gets better and better. Today we present the M2 package by Shiftech consisting of several upgrades.
First of all, they offer an increase from 370 HP to 401 HP by upgrading the N55 3.0-liter straight-6 engine. This also includes increased torque, from 450 Nm to 615 Nm. Such an output makes the M2 better than the M3/M4. However, we don’t have any proof of this – we still need a dyno chart to confirm the Shiftech’s claims.
While the standard M2 reaches 100 km/h from 0 in 4.3 seconds, we can only assume the upgraded version will do that in ~4 seconds. There’s no official confirmation for this, probably because they haven’t done the tests yet. The one thing we have today is the video of the M Performance exhaust system you can see above.
