Video: BMW M235i vs Audi TTS vs Ford Mustang

The BMW M235i is considered as one of the best sports cars on the market, but can it win a battle against the new Audi TTS and Ford Mustang V8, which is also at the same price range? Watch this group test below and find out:

The Audi TT range has the reputation of being driven by ladies. Some enthusiasts think that this car is all pretty but has no actual driving substance, at least for the first two generations of the car. This time, Audi made sure that it is a proper sports car and that allows it to be competitive in its range.

The Ford Mustang V8 is also a newcomer that is significantly better than its predecessors. The older versions of this car would not even go near competing with an M car. This new one is surprisingly a sophisticated driving machine powered by a muscular V8 and delivers an thrilling sound.

Carwow’s Mat Watson had a difficult choice to make with all these amazing cars in the group test. He drives all three cars back to back to compare their dynamics, performance and usability. He gives a great and quick overview starting with each car’s technology, looks, drag race abilities, practicality, and driving dynamics.

Technology-wise, the Audi TTS takes the crown. It has an MMI system that’s nearly as good as BMW’s iDrive, but its Virtual Cockpit and fantastic climate controls gives it the edge. The BMW M235i came in second for technology and the Mustang in third.

In terms of looks, the Audi TTS also won the round. The Mustang was apparently too vulgar and the M235i a bit boring.

In the actual drag race, the M235i and TTS did fire off faster than expected because they have automatic gearboxes that shift far faster. However, none of the two can beat the Mustang and its mighty 416 horsepower engine.

The BMW M235i won in best driving dynamics though. It’s fast yet comfortable; usable and practical. Carwow says that it is the best car to drive on a daily basis. That being said, the BMW M235i still took the win for this comparison.
