The BMW M3 Touring is set to get a high-octane sibling, the BMW M3 CS Touring, expected to hit the roads in 2025. Spy photos reveal this powerhouse zipping around the Nürburgring, showcasing a new front grille, aggressive splitter, and distinctive yellow headlights reminiscent of the recently launched BMW M4 CS and M3 CS.
Under the hood, the M3 CS Touring will likely feature the same 542bhp, twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six engine found in its coupe counterparts. This engine offers a 20bhp boost over the standard M3 Touring, delivering 650Nm of torque for a more responsive drive. Paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and a rear-biased all-wheel drive system, the M3 CS Touring promises a thrilling ride.
Performance-wise, it might not drastically outperform the standard M3 Touring’s 0-62mph time of 3.6 seconds, but BMW’s CS models emphasize more than just speed. Expect chassis enhancements like stiffer, lowered suspension, lightweight wheels, and extensive use of carbon fibre to reduce weight and improve handling.
Interior upgrades will likely include carbon fibre bucket seats and other trim elements, though the carbon fibre roof seen on the M3 CS saloon may not make it to the Touring model. With a projected price of around £120,000, the M3 CS Touring will be a luxurious, high-performance addition to the BMW lineup.
