In the same event at BMW Welt where 45 BMW M4 GTS race cars will be delivered comes some real life photos of the BMW M4 GTS Carbon Wheels.
The technological masterpiece that is the all-new 2016 BMW M4 GTS comes with a hefty price tag and it doesn’t include the lightweight carbon compound wheels yet. To have the M Carbon Compound Wheels sized 9.5 J x 19 front and 10.5 J x 20 rear, the customer needs to pay around 12,500 euros extra.
What do you get when spending for this enhancement? Well, the Carbon Wheels are made from innovative material that makes it possible for a significant weight reduction of around 7 kilograms. Due to the direct effect in unsprung and rotating masses, it also has a direct positive effect on the car’s acceleration and deceleration, steering responses and vibration levels. This is the very first time that a production vehicle is seen boasting a CFRP/aluminium-composite construction.
The Carbon Wheels are designed for the race track yet also approved for road use. How cool is that? These wheels are made specifically for customers looking for maximum performance on the track and don’t mind spending extra to achieve this goal.
