Lots of reviews have been published about the BMW M4 GTS. It has mostly been a mix of good and bad. However, the facts cannot be denied. It is a fast, good-looking track car, and a hardcore one. Some say that it is too hardcore, its already going towards the wrong direction. Is that true?
The BMW M4 GTS is supposed to be a good alter ego of the regular M4. The standard BMW M4 is often criticized for being too safe, soft and dry. Others argue though that BMW has just overdone it with the massive rear wing, huge front lip and orange wheels.
On the inside, it is stripped out, with the back seats replaced by a roll cage and the door panels. You won’t find any arm rests or speakers. You can hear all sorts of sounds from the inside because of the way its acoustics ate designed.
On track, all of these elements are fun though. Great power comes from it’s crazy water-injected engine. It is super wild on the track, perhaps too wild that other feel it can only be enjoyed there. On regular roads, it is not very comfortable to drive. The suspensions are just too low and too firm to be comfortable and enjoyable on daily drives.
BMW achieved the high-performing and super exciting car by sacrificing comfort. Is this really the wrong direction? Some people would say yes.
