With the new BMW 5 Series unveiled, we’re not so far from having the new BMW M550d, too. Until we are waiting for the new beast with high expectations, let’s see one modded older M550d.
The G-Power presents the M550d xDrive upgraded to 435 horsepower and 850 Nm of torque. The stock version had 400 HP and 760 Nm of torque, so the upgrade is pretty noticeable. It uses the N57S 3.0-liter straight-six diesel engine, while the new model will run on a B57S quad-turbo engine.
The numbers might not say enough, but the performance of this M550d modded by G-Power is out of this world. They claim that it was all made possible thanks to the new G-POWER D-Tronik 5 V1 power module, which can stay inactive under certain load conditions and allow the data to pass through without change.
We don’t know the exact acceleration time of this beauty, but we’d be surprised if it’s over 4 seconds.
