BMW 330e iPerformance Max eDrive Range & Petrol Engine Mileage Tests

This BMW enthusiast did a test on the new 2016 BMW 330e with the “Max eDrive” and “Eco Pro” settings turned on. The purpose was to confirm BMW’s claim that it will deliver 40km per 25mi. The results were pretty good. Watch here:

So what are the results and conditions? The range achieved was 17.02 miles per 27.4 km. The average electricity consumption was 19.0 kWh per 100km and average petrol consumption was 0.0 l per 100km. The ambient temperature was 46f – 54f (+8 – +12c). The terrain was mixed metropolitan which consists of 70% city roads and 30% highways. The specific driving conditions were good with a dry road and light traffic. The mileage started at 285 miles per 459km. The climate control setting was set at +19c (both sides). The car was on Max eDrive and Eco Pro. The tyre pressure was optimal.

Here’s a follow up test where the owner did a petrol engine mileage test on a BMW 330e dealer demo by using a 100km per 60 mile test drive, using 0% battery.
