Several BMW vehicles are gradually receiving the gorgeous Brooklyn Grey color. It’s one of the standard colors for the BMW M3 and M4, as well as the 3 Series Facelift. This stunning shade of grey was again a standout in 2021 as well. But this year, it was included in the BMW X7 Facelift’s color palette. The 2023 BMW X7 Facelift offers a variety of truly intriguing color choices. This includes Carbon Black, Black Sapphire, Mineral White, and Marina Bay Blue. The list also features Frozen Pure Grey, Manhattan Green, Dravit Grey, Sparking Copper Metallic, Skyscraper Grey, Tanzanite Blue, and Ametrin.
At the international media launch of the updated luxury SUV in Palm Springs, this specific BMW X7 xDrive40i comes into sight for the press. Brooklyn Grey also seems at home in the desert and the sun. It’s not only about the X7’s exterior, of course. Even though they are all rather typical for contemporary BMW premium vehicles, the inside offers a variety of outstanding options. The BMW Individual Ivory White/Atlas Grey Full Merino Leather combination, for instance, is one that sticks out.
One of the most significant exterior updates we’ve seen recently looks dapper on the BMW X7 Facelift. A revolutionary split headlamp design, unlike any previous headlight design in the history of the brand, is evident on the BMW X7 Facelift. It represents a daring new design direction for an already divisive automobile. Now, the headlights are divided into an upper and a lower half. The upper part has two thin, upside-down hockey stick LEDs. These updates on the headlights offer a contemporary, leaner interpretation of the iconic dual-halo BMW headlamp design.
The tested 2023 BMW X7 xDrive40i’s base MSRP is $77,850 plus $995 for destination. It now has 48-volt technology and an updated B58 3.0-litre turbocharged straight-six as its engine. Surprisingly, the x7 xDrive40i model’s mild-hybrid system can only run the vehicle at relative low speeds when under electric power.
The X7 xDrive40i’s B58 engine generates 380 horsepower and 383 lb-ft (520 Nm) of torque. The B58, however, can do a short boost from the hybrid motor reaching 398 lb-ft (540 Nm) of torque. BMW claims a 0-60 time of 5.8 seconds for its top speed. All BMW X7 models come with an eight-speed automatic transmission and xDrive all-wheel drive. However, this is somewhat of a given at this point.
