2023 BMW X1 and 330e Sedan LCI Make Argentine Debut

BMW consistently goes the extra mile for new model debuts. The third-generation X1 is a perfect example. The company’s local division showcased several variants of the base X model at a special event. This event took place at the Amalia Lacroze de Fortabat Art Collection museum in Buenos Aires. It celebrated the U11 launch in Argentina. Additionally, BMW Group South America introduced the facelifted 330e Sedan in Argentina.

Just over a month ago, the Regensburg factory in Germany celebrated a milestone. They produced the one-millionth unit of the baby X model, the X1. This factory is responsible for importing the latest model. It was showcased at the event in the xDrive20i xLine configuration. Meanwhile, the sDrive18i and sDrive20i with front-wheel drive are the more affordable options in the country.

The 330e is transported from Mexico’s San Louis Potosi facility to Argentina. It joins the sporty M340i xDrive and the potent 320i SportLine in the lineup. BMW also provides the plug-in hybrid model in SportLine trim. Interestingly, the 330e in Argentina serves as an indirect replacement for the 330i sold before the LCI. This change highlights the auto industry’s continuous shift towards electrified vehicles.

The X3 xDrive30e signifies the start of BMW Group Argentina’s journey towards electrification. It will be accessible locally from October 2022. Including the 330e sedan in the plug-in hybrid vehicles lineup is a critical component of a wider initiative to promote electromobility in the nation.

During the X1 and 330e Sedan launch event, BMW dropped hints about the local debut of the XM plug-in hybrid super SUV. The company announced several new products coming to Argentina soon. These include a high-performance sporty model from the M family and a new addition to the top segment of the X family.
