In 2022, the third-generation BMW X1 is set for a market launch. The best selling BMW SAV, for the mean time, is out and about for the usual testing sessions. It doesn’t come as a surprise now that rendering artists have used recent spy photos to produce their own style.
This BMW X1 image from Kolsea was edited through Photoshop, peeling some of the design details hidden by the camo. The future X1 gains a larger kidney grille at the front, but not as large as some of the most recent BMW models. Furthermore, it looks a bit more modern with its sleeker and simpler headlights compared to previous-gen car’s.
With a more upright position, taller and more like a traditional SUV, it stance stands out so well. As its roofline isn’t quite as upright, it still looks sportier than something like an X3, but it’s still a bit more upright than its predecessor; sitting somewhere in between the two. We also expect the typical L-shaped taillights but sleeker out back. A more prominent rear roof spoiler would also be present.
We expect large displays for the infotainment system and dashboard, mirroring the upcoming BMW 2 Series Active Tourer, as far as the interior is concerned. More premium center console is also expected than in the current generation.
