BMW has finally lifted the veil on its latest creation, the highly anticipated BMW X1 M35i. This M Performance version of the X1 boasts a more powerful four-cylinder engine, complemented by a striking quad exhaust system. With the X1 M35i, BMW showcases its commitment to thrilling driving experiences, with more M Lite models to follow. The X1 M35i xDrive houses a turbocharged 2.0-liter engine, delivering an impressive 312 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque.
This compact crossover accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in just 5.2 seconds, showcasing its spirited performance. Paired with a seven-speed Steptronic automatic transmission and an adjustable M suspension, the X1 M35i offers an engaging driving experience. The X1 M35i stands as a worthy successor to the X1 xDrive35i of the past, bringing back the thrill of its 300-hp predecessor. While the torque may be slightly lower, this new M Performance variant compensates with its refined power delivery.
Notable features include a mechanical limited-slip differential and the availability of M Compound brakes, setting new benchmarks for the M Performance models. BMW has also paid attention to the visual enhancements of the X1 M35i. From its standard 19-inch wheels to the optional 20-inch alloys, this crossover boasts a bold and sporty presence.
Inside the X1 M35i, sport seats wrapped in black Sensatec and Alcantara with blue stitching greet the driver. For added comfort and style, customers have the option to upgrade to electrically adjustable M Sport seats. The cabin features familiar screens, powered by iDrive 9 with QuickSelect functionality, offering a user-friendly interface reminiscent of smartphones.
