Recent updates have given the X5 M a modern facelift. Slimmer adaptive LED matrix headlights replace previous laser tech, flanking a redesigned black kidney grille with horizontal slats. Glossy black accents are more pronounced, and the taillights sport a distinctive “X” motif. Inside, the car offers Silverstone leather and a carbon fibre dashboard trim with an illuminated M graphic.
While the X5 M maintains its iconic bulky gear selector, BMW has streamlined the centre console by reducing switchgear and introducing a user-friendly 14.9-inch touchscreen. BMW’s infotainment system is evolving rapidly, with iDrive 8.5 and 9.0 already available on select models and iDrive 10 expected to debut with the Neue Klasse EVs in 2025.
