BMW is introducing the all-new 2024 BMW X5 xDrive50e, a plug-in hybrid SUV that replaces the X5 xDrive45e. The X5 xDrive50e boasts improved performance and efficiency with a more powerful engine and larger battery capacity. The 2024 BMW X5 xDrive50e boasts an upgraded inline-six, 3.0-liter gasoline engine. This is integrated with an electric motor into the eight-speed automatic gearbox.
This powerful combination produces a total of 483 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque. The battery pack of the 2024 BMW X5 xDrive50e is mounted under the floor for improved weight distribution.
Customers can opt for illuminated kidneys and a Highway Assistant that works at speeds of up to 85 mph on highways. The IconicSounds Electric soundtrack, co-developed with Hans Zimmer, is also included as standard in EV mode.
The 2024 BMW X5 xDrive50e will roll off the production line at the Spartanburg factory in South Carolina. This facility also manufactures other X5 models, ensuring the same level of quality for the electrified SUV.
