The BMW X5 Pleasure Edition may appear absurd at first, but it does exist. However, it’s not precisely what its name implies because it’s a limited-edition model and is now available in Japan. The BMW X5 Pleasure Edition is all about a terrific package at a reasonable price and also provides a comfortable ride. It’s an all comfort, no sports vehicle. Therefore, you can consider it as the counterpart of an M Sport Edition.
With a selling price of $93,000, the X5 Pleasure Edition is now on sale in Japan until the end of July. It comes with a wide range of options that you can choose from. You can select from blue, black or white for its exterior paint. The car also comes with adjustable air suspension and model-specific 21-inch wheels.
It also includes smart safety features such as lane change assist, emergency stop assist, rear collision warning traffic sign assist, and semi-autonomous driving technology. Ash grain wood trimmings, leather upholstery, second-row seat heating function and seven seats are also available. A Harman Kardon audio system and a panoramic sunroof are optional features for an additional $3,000.
However, under the hood, you don’t have a lot of engine options. The BMW X5 Pleasure Edition is only available in an xDrive35d engine. Therefore, it can produce 286 horsepower and 650 Nm of torque through a 3.0-litre straight-six diesel engine. In Japan, the xDrive35d-badged X5 is essentially the X5 xDrive30d model that everyone else gets.
With many luxury features and a few rare choices, the BMW X5 Pleasure Edition is suitable for people who are looking for a pleasurable and comfortable ride.
