BMW X7 facelift gets fancy with Swarovski crystal headlights

BMW has announced that its iconic crystal headlights, known as Iconic Glow. This will be available for the X7 SUV starting April 2023. The option, which was first introduced on the 7 Series G70 and i7 electric vehicle last year, adds Swarovski crystals into the daytime running lights. The DRLs on the X7 have been updated to be positioned above the main headlights, similar to the flagship sedan.

The Iconic Glow lights are available for a steep €2,100 premium and feature 22 LED elements arranged in “L” shapes. It light up the crystals and even perform a little “dance” when the vehicle is locked and unlocked. BMW claims that these upgraded DRLs are not only a showstopper but are also more visible than the standard setup.

In addition to the Iconic Glow lights, BMW is also offering an illuminated front grille for an extra €500 in Germany. This feature is standard on the range-topping X7 M60i and is becoming increasingly popular among BMW models. The X5 is also expected to receive this feature with its upcoming Life Cycle Impulse update.

From April, the X7 will feature a black high-gloss rear trim strip as part of the M high-gloss Shadowline exterior package. Additionally, the X7, iX, and 7 Series models will now offer remote control parking through the My BMW smartphone app. This new technology is part of the extended Parking Assistant Professional package.
