Looking back on BMW’s history, there’s always a few models that stand out. It can be because of their design like the Z8; or driving dynamics like the E46 M3. Under the design category, there are actually two different divisions: absolutely stunning models and the odd models. Remember the BMW Z3 M Coupe? Well, it’s exactly an example of an odd model and has been so from the very beginning. Even dubbed with the clown shoe nickname.
However, it seems like the Z3 is more about substance than design, and those who are not subjective at all will get it. It’s not something to be paraded around like a trophy, but it definitely has a different feel when you drive it. And it looks like these guys from Savaggeese understand it. After spending a few minutes behind the BMW Z3 M’s wheel, one cannot fully deny its very rich potential.
Underneath its queer sheet metal is an E36 M3 chassis, that is the most underrated model in BMW M division’s history. Yet, it remains as a great driver’s car. With that plenty of power, it weighs less than most of the cars today.
Carrying over some useful tricks from the M division, it now stands out even more. However awkward its profile is, it surely does come with a few pros. For one, visibility is no issue with tons of glass incorporated all around.
With an S52 engine under the hood, you could definitely set the looks and design aside and appreciate its brilliance. Since it’s using the S52, you know for sure you’re gonna have some fun together with its six-cylinder greatness. Let’s see what else the reviewers have to say.
