We Will Get a New BMW Roadster, But It Won’t Be Called Z5

A new announcement has arrived from the BMW – and it’s about the upcoming new roadster model.

Contrary to what the fans have been thinking for the past year or so, and based on the sources from Munich, the new model won’t be named Z5. In fact, it will continue to use the Z4 name. Ludwig Willisch, BMW America’s CEO, confirmed this earlier this week:

There’s no such thing. There will be a sports car, yes, but it’s not going to be a Z5. That’s something that someone else has made up.

After he was pressed to reveal some details, he answered: “It will be called Z… probably 4.”
