For petrol heads who love analog cars and would like to own one, the only option would be buying a sports car that is at least 10 years old. But which one in the market is the best? Find out on this video:
Mike Spinelli from The Drive talks with Michael Prichinello and Zac Moseley from The Classic Car Club Manhattan discuss their BMW Z4 M Coupe and why they think it is the best analog car you can buy out there. The car featured on this video is modified to enhance the natural traits of the Z4 M.
The beautiful Z4 M is track ready with an ECU tune, lightened flywheel, and a short shift kit given to its S54 3.2 liter I6 engine. The original poly mounts with hydraulic ones were replaced to eliminate the driveline vibration and make it enjoyable even in city driving. It was then given 18″ wheels and better road tires. Overall, it was a set up that would easily work with every day driving and the track.
The hosts of the show loved the Z4 M and they even claim that it is more enjoyable to drive than a new Porsche Cayman GT4. The BMW hydraulic steering is honest and gives great feedback to the driver. The driver is positioned almost on top of the rear axle, so it gives a feeling of rotating around your hips. It doesn’t hurt that it looks really good too.
So if anyone is thinking of buying an honest to goodness analog sports car, keep the BMW Z4 M on your list.
