While the exterior undergoes a significant transformation, the powertrain remains unchanged across the BMW XM lineup. All models feature the “S68” 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine with a hybrid electric motor. The result is a powerful all-wheel-drive system bolstered by an updated xDrive for improved performance. The standard XM model has a combined power output of 644 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque, with the electric motor contributing 194 hp. The electric motor delivers 206 lb-ft of torque, boostable to 332 lb-ft with an extra gear set.
