Exploring the 25 UK-Market BMW M3 E30 Ravaglia Editions

The BMW M3 E30 is one of the most iconic sports cars with a dominant presence in motorsport worldwide. Among the rarest and most sought-after versions of the M3 E30 is the Roberto Ravaglia Edition. It has only 25 units exclusively for the UK market. The cars stood out thanks to their unique Misano Red paint job and distinctive wheels. Alongside, their rocker covers and plenums were also in body color. Each came with a plaque signed by Roberto Ravaglia. Ravaglia achieved World Touring Car Championship victory in the M3 in 1987 and the European Touring Car Championship in 1988.

In 1989, he won the DTM series, followed by back-to-back victories in the Italian touring car championship in 1990, 1991, and 1993. He, along with Marc Duez and Alexander Burgstaller, won the 24-hour Nürburgring Nordschleife race in a BMW 320i (E36), in 1995.

Currently, BMW Group UK Classic owns one of the 25 Ravaglia Editions. This one is painted in Nogaro Silver metallic. Inside, the car’s badge identifies it as “065/505,” signifying its place within the Cecotto Edition. This included a total of 505 units, including the 25 for the British market.

The Ravaglia Edition holds a special place in BMW motorsport history, showcasing exceptional engineering and performance. Moreover, it has become a valuable investment, as prices for these cars have been steadily increasing in recent years.
