The IND Distribution from Chicago has just revealed the first BMW M2 with an RKP carbon fiber roof.
The early testings of the M2 often mentioned the carbon fiber roof, but when the car was officially unveiled, the BMW fans were left without the desired feature. IND now offers the carbon fiber roof for the BMW M2 owners who want an even lighter car.
The RKP design team didn’t have an easy task. They couldn’t just make a flat roof for the sporty car such as the M2. They have scanned the carbon fiber roof from the M4 and converted it to a CAD model, which was later modified to fit the M2.
The new roof is around 5kg lighter than the original one. It was made from 100% hand laid carbon fiber. It is currently available for pre-order at a price of $1,295.
