Over the Air Tuning for BMW M models by G-Power

Keeping up with the recent technologies, G-Power has just released remote, over the air upgrades for BMW M and Mercedes-AMG cars. G-Power previously just focused on tuning BMW cars but they have recently expanded to Mercedes-AMG offerings. These upgrades can make a huge bump to a car’s horsepower reading in just a matter of minutes, from the comfort of your own garage!

Your own OBD reader from G-Power is required before you can apply these upgrades but once you have this, the upgrades are quite easy to install. Just read the original ECU map of your car using the OBD port, send the data to G-Power via e-mail, and then they will create an upgraded file for your car’s specific readouts. They’ll send it over to you and you’ll just need to upload it to your car. That’s it!

Just to give you an idea, the B58 engine can be taken up to 410 HP, the S55 unit to 540 HP while the F10 S63 could go up to 700 HP, with only an ECU tune and 10 minutes spent in the garage. The only risks are things going wrong during the upload so caution is necessary.

Because of this technology, G-Power is now available to people outside Germany who will have an especially hard time getting access to them otherwise.
