In the light of the recent unveiling of the new BMW M5, the Bavarians wanted to remind us of how awesome the M5 has always been. The first model to look at more carefully is the E28 BMW M5.
The car featured a 3.5-liter i6 engine producing 282 HP, which was the most a sedan had back then. Just imagine, the M5 could compare with the Porsche 911 which was incredible at least. It could fit five people and had all of the latest features and gadgets.
The North American market got the model with the S38 B35 engine producing 256 horsepower. With this model, BMW started a new trend that practically every other automaker followed later. But none of the other brands could make a vehicle so magical as the original M5 was.
