BMW surprises the enthusiast community with one of the most extreme M5s of all time: the new BMW M5 Pure Metal Edition. Yes, we’ve already seen incredibly powerful versions of the current F10-generation M5 in recent years. The BMW M5 30 Jahre with 600hp holds the title of being the most powerful of all. This new BMW M5 Pure Metal delivers a significant power boost. Thanks to increasing the charge pressure and tweaking some ECU software, the BMW M5 Pure Metal now makes 591 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque. Understandably, the driver in the review was afraid of it because that’s quite a lot to send to just the rear wheels. To adjust to that easily, BMW gave the car a 10mm lower and stiffer suspension, tweaks to the M Differential, and adjustments in the steering. This makes the car sharper and great in handling. Its not your usual fast car.
The overall look of the Pure Metal Edition M5 is made up of a Pure Metal Silver Metallic exterior paint, 20″ wheels, car name badges on the inside, and more. It doesn’t really look vey different from the usual car. It’s power however is its strong suit.
Only 20 units will be made and sold in South Africa. The video showed how savage this BMW M5 Edition can be and, this can bring the F10 BMW M5 reputation to a whole new league.
