A special limited edition model is launched by BMW Japan: the BMW X3 Celebration Edition “Blackoutâ€.
Selling in the Japan market on August 6th, the production will be limited to 200 units only. There have been 9 special edition models launched in Japan but this is the very first X3 special edition there. The BMW X3 Blackout edition commemorates the 100th anniversary of the BMW Group.
The BMW X3 Celebration Edition “BLACKOUT†is powered by a 2-liter four-cylinder diesel engine capable of 184 horsepower and 380 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a ZF 8-speed transmission which is known to be very precise. Upon appearance in the dealerships, it will be sold as BMW X3 xDrive20d and fitted with the M Sport Package that improves the already dynamic design and makes it even sportier.
The exterior paint is Sapphire Black combined with a black trim, black wheels and black kidney grilles. For the interior, it has the BMW Individual Ansorajitto Roof lining, black Nevada leather seats, brushed aluminum interior trim, and aluminum pedals.
Exclusive features include a HiFi speaker system, X3 “BLACKOUT†interior badge, and leather key case.
Pricing is set at ¥6,980,000 or approximately $68,000.
