Laurel BMW and ST Racing Partners for 2017 Pirelli World Challenge

Laurel BMW of Westmont partners with ST Racing (both located in the USA) for the 2017 Pirelli World Challenge Touring Class. Samantha Tan and Nick Wittmer will be driving one new BMW M235R race car each and provided motorsport team support by ST Racing.

Patrick Womack, General Manager of Laurel, is a racing enthusiast and driver himself and he personally worked with BMW AG to get these race cars homologated and brought to the North American market.

Womack says, “We’re extremely happy to partner with ST Racing and value our relationship with Team Principal, Kenneth Tan, as well as, race car drivers Samantha and Nick. We wish them all the best in their maiden season with the new M235R, and will be cheering them on from Westmont, IL.”

Team Principal, Kenneth Tan states, “ST Racing is fortunate to partner with Laurel BMW in its quest to be a top three team in the 2017 Pirelli World Challenge Touring Class. Laurel BMW and Patrick Womack have provided us the vital support critical in ensuring both race cars receive the best BMW technical support and parts availability.”

Both ST Racing drivers are looking forward to welcoming Laurel BMW to the team for the upcoming season. “We’re really excited to have Laurel BMW on board with us for 2017,” said Samantha Tan, driver of the #38 BMW M235R car. “Their contribution to our team is greatly appreciated, and we will do our very best to make them proud at race time. We hope they’ll be able to come and see some of our races this year.”

Nick Wittmer added, “Having Laurel BMW as a partner of ST Racing is great, and, I think they’re a perfect fit with our team. We can’t wait to go racing with these cars and put on a good show, not only for Laurel BMW, but for all the fans. We start our season on April 28th, at Virginia International Raceway, and Samantha and I will be more than ready!” Wittmer will be driving the #91 BMW M235R car.
