Look: BMW X4 M40i gets 430 horsepower from dAHLer tuning

One of the most entertaining BMW SUVs ever produced is the BMW X4 M40i, and dAHLer Competition has decided to tackle tuning it for fun. The M Performance X4 comes with a 360-horsepower B58 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine. A Swiss business adjusted this BMW X4 M40i Facelift to 410 horsepower and 610 Nm of torque. If that isn’t powerful enough for you, dAHLer has another option with 430 horsepower and 630 Newton metres of torque. The tuned-up X4 M40i should be faster than the stock model, which can reach 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds.

The Swiss tuner added a distinctive Malachite Green paint job to the M40i to make the X4 more appealing to buyers. But that’s not all; this BMW X4 M40i includes several optional extras. High-performance catalytic converters and electronic valves are just the start of a redesigned exhaust system in the back. The expert claims satin silver or matte black lacquer on the four pipes improves the tuned sound.

Improvements to the visual appearance are implicit in the tuning process. A revised front spoiler and unique wheels give the midsize crossover BMW X4 M40i a more aggressive appearance. The CDC1 and CDC2 wheel designs offer sizes of 20, 21, and 22 inches. Wrapped around them are performance tyres measuring up to 255 mm in the front and 305 mm in the rear. A new set of sports springs that drop the X4 by 25 mm are also included in the performance package. A more sporty, height-adjustable suspension is also available as an option.

dAHLer Competition emblem can be found all over the interior, along with leather and Alcantara upholstery, aluminium pedals, new floor mats, and more. There is currently no information regarding pricing, but given their track record and level of quality control, you shouldn’t expect a cheap.
